📣Customer Testimonial- Worth the Read❗
A customer of ours shared this picture and story of their Audi A6 after a recent accident. The car was rear-ended during low visibility on the interstate. Upon impact multiple safety features kicked in. As you can see the rear-crumple zone, well crumpled. What you can’t see is that the rear passenger compartment was completely unscathed. You’d think that the rear passenger compartment would be filled with glass. It isn’t, only a few pieces. You can see the rear deck lid pushed up and in to the passenger space, but even that wouldn’t have touched a back seat passenger. The vehicle shut down and locked up the brakes to prevent further collisions. Almost immediately the Audi connect CARE contacted the driver to be sure all passengers were okay and called emergency services for them. Having that call, kept the driver calm in assessing the traumatic event. This also made the entire situation less stressful. Once the emergency services arrived, one of the responders remarked that this system worked better than any they had seen. Both passengers of this Audi, walked away with minor bruises and soreness. There are many safe cars on the road today, but this event has made an Audi customer for life.

The Advantages of Home Health Care Over Senior Living Communities: A Fargo-Moorhead Perspective
As our loved ones age, choosing the right care option becomes paramount. In the Fargo, North Dakota, and Moorhead, Minnesota areas, families often weigh the benefits of home health care against those of senior living communities. While both have their merits, home health care offers unique advantages that cater to individual needs and preferences.
Personalized Care in the Comfort of Home
Home health care provides seniors with the opportunity to receive tailored medical and non-medical services without leaving their familiar surroundings. This personalized approach ensures that care plans align with individual health requirements and daily routines, promoting a sense of independence and comfort.
In contrast, senior living communities offer standardized care within a communal setting. While they provide structured activities and social opportunities, the one-size-fits-all approach may not cater to specific individual needs.
Cost Considerations
Financial factors play a significant role in care decisions. According to a report by the American Seniors Housing Association, the average monthly cost of assisted living ranges from $5,350 to $6,422. In comparison, home care costs about $30 to $33 per hour, totaling approximately $5,808 per month for 44 hours of weekly care. However, when factoring in home maintenance and utilities, the costs can be comparable.
It's essential to assess individual needs and financial situations to determine the most cost-effective option. It is also essential to look over any long-term insurance you are in enrolled in to see your insurance premiums and benefits.
Flexibility and Autonomy
Home health care offers unparalleled flexibility. Seniors can set their schedules, choose their caregivers, and maintain their daily routines. This autonomy can lead to increased satisfaction and well-being.
On the other hand, senior living communities operate on fixed schedules, which might not align with every resident's preferences. While they provide a range of activities and services, the structured environment may feel restrictive to some.
Making the Right Choice
Deciding between home health care and a senior living community depends on individual preferences, health needs, and financial considerations. Home health care offers personalized, flexible, and comfortable solutions, allowing seniors to age gracefully in their own homes.
For those in the Fargo-Moorhead area seeking compassionate and professional home care services, Griswold Home Care stands ready to assist. Our dedicated team ensures that your loved ones receive the care they deserve, right in the comfort of their home.

It started on a quiet Saturday afternoon, the kind where the world slows down just enough to let sound take the spotlight.
I had just unboxed the Sennheiser HD660S. I'd read all the reviews, all the praise: “balanced,” “natural,” “an heir to the HD650 throne.” But I wasn’t after specs or hype. I was chasing a feeling, one of connection, immersion, and maybe even a little magic. Still, as I plugged them into my trusty solid-state amp, something was... missing.
The clarity was there. The imaging, precise. But the soul? The spark? It felt like listening to a brilliant story told in a monotone voice. Technically impressive, but emotionally distant.
That’s when the Valhalla 2 entered the picture.
The First Spark
Schiit Audio’s Valhalla 2 had always intrigued me. Not just because of the tubes glowing gently like embers in a fireplace, but because people spoke of it with the reverence usually reserved for vintage records and well-aged scotch. It wasn’t just gear, it was a ritual.
I set it up with a little anticipation and a lot of curiosity. Warmed it up, let the tubes settle. I picked a song I knew by heart, My Little Brown Book by Duke Ellington, and pressed play.
That first note?
It wasn’t just sound anymore. It was presence. I felt like I was in the room. You could hear the space between notes. The smooth saxophone from John Coltrane. The soft playing of the piano.
How It Changed the Music
The HD660S, known for its honest mids and smooth tonality, suddenly bloomed. The Valhalla 2 didn’t overpower it…it elevated it.
The bass wasn’t thunderous, but it had texture. It felt real, the kind of bass you feel in your soul, not just your ears.
The mids, always the 660S’s strength, became the heart of the music. Vocals were so vivid, so alive, that I caught myself leaning forward, like I might hear something new each time.
The treble smoothed out, no harsh edges, just a gentle roll of clarity that lingered without fatigue.
And the soundstage, my God. Not wide like a concert hall, but intimate, like sitting in a studio with the lights low and the tape rolling.
Falling Into the Details
Over the next few days, I rediscovered music I thought I knew.
Pink Floyd’s “Wish You Were Here” had a new fragility to it, the kind that makes you sit still and breathe less, just to hear more.
Miles Davis on Kind of Blue was no longer a recording, it was a conversation. You could hear the air move between notes.
Even Radiohead’s “Weird Fishes” shimmered with new layers. Each guitar line wove through the soundstage like strands of silk.
And when I started tube rolling, that was a rabbit hole I was happy to fall into. Swapping in a pair of vintage Russian 6N1Ps added warmth; old Telefunkens gave vocals a shine. It wasn’t just listening, it was curating an experience.
So… Is It Endgame?
Honestly? I don’t know. Maybe “endgame” isn’t the goal anymore.
What I do know is this: the HD660S and Valhalla 2 have become my home. The place I return to when I want to feel music, not just hear it. It’s not about the biggest bass or the most technical detail, it’s about intimacy, richness, and emotion. And that's the kind of magic no spec sheet can explain.
“Magic: The Gathering…..It’s the devil’s work!”
If you grew up hearing this, then you either had a great childhood filled with memories of playing with your friends or you missed out on the beginning of the biggest trading card game to date.
I wish I had the opportunity to been able to start playing this game at such a young age but instead I was trading Pokémon and collecting Yu-Gi-Oh! cards. I had no idea MTG would have grown into such a massive community of gamers.
My journey into MTG started with an introduction by my best friend’s brother when we met up at a local game store during summer break from college. At first I was hesitant. Filled with anxiety with learning all the rules and different formats. Doubting myself before I even started. My mind racing with thoughts like: “What if I screw up a play, what if I get frustrated and get flustered, or maybe I don’t shuffle the cards quick enough.” As you can tell. My social anxiety was going through the roof.
But suddenly something happened…….I heard something that triggered a core a memory.
A memory of total bliss, tenacity, and one of the core skills of every gamer….
SMACK TALK.
Oh yea. You best believe that triggered a memory. Remembering the nights playing Halo, Super Mario Kart, and other video games. The memory of enjoying my youth with my friends. Laughing as we chug Mountain Dew and trying not to screen peek as we white knuckle our controllers.
This nostalgia was quickly followed with a new peak interest in a game. I was hooked. I felt like a little kid again. Shuffling up the cards, reading the mechanics, learning each cards ability. I couldn’t get enough.
MTG is filled with different strategies and mechanics. The combinations are endless. I learn new combos and gameplay with every release of a new set. It never gets dull.
That is why there is a style for everyone. You want to play aggro? Play with red and ping away at your opponents health. Use monsters, instant spells. Whatever you like to get the most damage. You want to be more strategic and play the long game? Play like a blue player and counter spell everything so no one can play but yourself. Yes, this is a type of strategy. One that many hate but also loved by many. You get to choose.
That is another aspect of the game that I fell in love with. The different combinations of colors.
Different combinations of colors? What does that mean.
Well you see. In Magic: The Gathering. There are 5 different colors that every card is associated with, technically 6 but one is called colorless. The 5 colors are red, white, black, green, and blue.
Each of these colors represent a certain theme and strategy. That is why there is a strategy for everyone. You get to choose the way you like to play, or want to play. You have the final say in your deck building. You could go ultra competitive and play to win with very efficient card combinations, or you could choose to build janky and play for fun. The choice is yours and your play group.
My play group? Yes, your play group. I can’t miss mentioning one of the most important aspects of Magic: The Gathering….
IT’S THE GATHERING! The gathering of friends, the merriment of smack talking, the laughter of gameplay banter. The joy of the game and sharing that experience with your friends and/or family.
Now that you have made it this far. Search for your local game store, buy some ready to play pre-built decks, and enjoy the fun!
“CrossOver Quest”
On my Mac, so sleek and clean,
I dreamed of games I’d never seen.
But Windows said, “Not Here, my friend!”
I thought my gaming days would end.
Then came CodeWeavers, bold and bright,
With CrossOver, oh what a sight!
They waved their wand, no dual-boot pain,
And suddenly I’m playing Skyrim again.
No clunky installs or Parallels trap,
Just click and run, now that’s an app!
Thanks to this wizardry and Robin hood,
My Mac plays games like I knew it could.
Thank you for taking the time to review this. I hope this gave you more of an insight of my writing capability, storytelling, and me as a person.
